Paddle
« on: March 29, 2012, 02:46:08 PM »
I have for sale a Aqua bound white water paddle if any one is interested. It is right handed, 198cm long and 45 degree feather. It has ABX blades and an ovalised fibreglass shaft so is strong lightweight and durable. It is brand new and I was sold it as a 30 degree feather but when it arrived it was 45 so is not really what I want even though it is a good paddle. Price new is £119.95 but anyone interested can have it for £65. Can be tried out on a Tuesday evening if required.

Rich,

...just a thought

I don't know these paddles, or whether it is worth it, but;

If you are happy with the paddles except the feather, then it is possible to change the feather - for example, AS Watersports in Exeter may be able to do it for £20.

Alternatively, they may make good splits to use as a spare set. When doing the work, the feather can be changed for nothing.  Splits are useful in a group, and are required for 4 star. Paddles can be converted using kits for not very much money, or you can pay somebody to do it for you - again AS Watersports can do it - see their page on http://www.aswatersports.co.uk/kayaks/KayakandCanoerepairsandoutfitting.htm
