Anyone after new kit at a good price?
« on: September 21, 2011, 11:41:38 PM »
Mark C is currently sorting new kit for the club, and the plan is to put it together with any other kit members would like to purchase to bulk up the order. More kit = lower price  ;D. I'll let mark put the details of the shop etc below..

Don't quote me on this but I think mark is getting the boats from here: http://www.kayaks.co.uk/ so if you look on their website and tell him which cag/drysuit etc you fancy he can work from there

I am after a new paddle now so would be interested to see what price we could get a werner rio, desperado or sherpa for and when you are thinking of going.

Rich are you still after that paddle?

I have been looking on the web and Cheltenham canoes have the best sales at the moment. Will try and ring them tommorrow to see what other discount they are willing to give.

Probably looking at a sherpa or powerhouse at the moment. Still not sure but see what price and that may sway me.

I'm guessing its glass. I would recommend them over carbon.

Rich, you could try my Powerhouse on Sat, still waiting to see the weather before deciding venue.

Mark, am looking at straight shaft, all fibreglass and 197cm long.
Gordon, I did try your powerhouse before and thought the blade size too big compared to the sherpa but have learnt a bit more about paddling now so would like to try it again sometime if you dont mind. Was going to demo some at woodmill but think there is still a rat pee problem. Hope the weather will be ok for Saturday(and Sunday).
