INTRODUCTION TO PADDLESPORTS COURSE 26th June / 3rd July 2016

When: Sunday 26th JUNE and Sunday 3rd May 9.30 am - 4.00 pm
Where: Salisbury Canoe Club, Newton Rd, Churchfields Industrial Estate, Salisbury. SP2 7QA.
How Much: £85 (includes both days, kit hire and membership of SCC for the remainder of the membership year - to end March 2017)

For more info and application forms please email [email protected]

The course aims to cover the BCU 1 star award but given our river-based venue it will extend this to give you the skills you need to paddle at the club site and cope with the moving water. You will have a number of sessions probably 3 on the first Sunday and 2 on the second Sunday. One of these sessions, probably on the second Sunday will be a river trip around the Nadder-Avon loop giving you the opportunity to see Salisbury from a very different perspective! We try and make the sessions fun but they can be tiring - we suggest you bring some snacks suitable for buoyancy aid pockets!

Because you may have one or two breaks during the day, it may be a good idea to bring a couple of changes of paddling clothes so that you can get warm and changed between sessions. Please also remember to bring lunch and drinks (in sports bottles so that these can be taken out on the water with you.

Shoes are mentioned specifically on the course form - please no crocs or flip-flops as we just end up chasing them down the river! Old trainers or water shoes are ideal (SCC have some water shoes you could borrow if you are stuck)

If you need any further information please get in touch [email protected]

Many Thanks
