« on: May 19, 2010, 09:28:11 PM »
Is anyone up for Sunday Morning paddling at the club?  What are we allowed to paddle on Sundays?

Cheers

I'm game this sunday providing a key holder is present. The usual route is what is aloud
"If found, please return me to a river"

Richard, what about 10:00?  I don't think there will be a keyholder present so we won't be able to get in to the clubhouse, but we can just park up outside.

Too hot to cut the lawn.

Excellent paddle round the loop with some breaking in / out and ferry gliding at the weir.  There was quite a crowd at the Old Mill and Nigel befriended a swan!!!

 >:(

This particular swan nests just a few metres upstream of the town path bridge. It put on quite a show just in front of us, and once we passed it, it kept flying at us. The first attack and I deflected it from hitting me with the paddle. This did not stop it attacking, but kept it a few feet away from me.

If I had a dog which kept attacking people, I would be prosecuted. Perhaps the Queen ought to control her swans.

Why do they hate me? The feeling is mutual.
