Seen that, initially it will probably be swamped( ;D), however it is as close as the Nene, £10 all day. A midweek/Satuarday trip may be less congested

;D Have you seen the first turn on of the pumps? Its got no boulders in there yet but it certainly isn't going to be tame, allready producing stoppers and waves!

Yep, had already seen that(browsing at work ;D) I've popped them a note asking for admittance restrictions (if there are any) and to indicate opening times & days, they have yet to respond.

I read that they will be switching on the pumps when they have a commercial booking, and will post up on their website days and times. In other words, if there are people spending large amounts of thier money ww rafting we're allowed to go dodge inbetween them, but we dont pay enough as paddlers to outweight the cost of running the pumps.

There do not look to be many pools - when I swim, it looks as though it will be a long swim and not many places to catch the boat :-\

A response from Cardiff

Hi

We are due to open on the 26th March 2010 and will be open 7 days a week from 9:00 till 5:00, however on
Wednesday and Friday till 8:00 and on Saturdays we will be open till 8:00 for park and play as long as the pumps are on. (Please ring before hand to ensure pumps are running).

At the moment we have no minimum requirements for park and play, but you will have to sign to say that you are competent to paddle the course, however this is subject to change.

If you have any other queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Many Thanks

Kevin whats the point of attending a WWSR course and not practicing regularly? Swimming is certainly an essential skill I require to practice regularly. (I wouldn't know a PIG rig if it bit my left toe, however I am conversant with swimming GD2/3 WW) ;D ;D ;D

Extract from CIWW Website: "
Kayaking Park & Play
Pull up and pull into the best features at CIWW.  Warm up on the flat, sit back and relax on the conveyor and then stop and play, what could be more simple?  CIWW offers a range of features to suit both the intermediate to advanced boater.  Don't sit at home on those dry or dark evenings, we can get you on the water sun or floodlit.

If you'd like some coaching in making those elusive moves then click Paddle sport and book a freestyle session.

Pump Time will be available weekly:
Wednesdays - 18:00 - 20:00
Friday - 18:00 - 20:00
Saturday 11:00 - 20:00
Sunday 11:00 - 18:00

Extra pump time will be added weekly however please make that call to confirm

"
Anyone fancy checking it out this sunday??
