HPP is not an introductory level course, the reccommended skill level is 3*. Anyone not upto this standard may find it a very wet and miserable weekend. If still interested i suggest you have a word with Pete and see what he says (providing he's going?).

I had assumed that Pete would need to hold my hand so I will check in with him on Tuesday. He did mention a Nene trip mid September so maybe thats the Baptism of fire I need before Llandysul :o

Far nicer than Nottingham.

Midges should be dying out too at this time of the year.

Are you still planning the same weekend? I cannot do that one, but fancy another trip to the T soon.

No its rocky and boney. Nottingham would make a nicer swim if only the water was cleaner!

Hi I'll cry off this one (probably Sea Yakking), however I can claim some experience regards swimming the tryweryn, both upper & lower, very refreshing ;D Have fun

Trywern sounds good.
When would we go up?
Accomodation? Prices?
Distance?

 ;D

Times would be open for discusion, I would be game for an early oclock start sat. Camping most likely, usually about 7 quid a night.
Distance ... long, usually works out about 20 - 30 quid a head for fuel with a 4-1/2 to 5 hour drive. So your looking to leave about 5 in the morn for a decent days paddle.

Other options would be a day trip somewhere. Current forecast suggests we might get a fpre season visit to dartmoor in! Or a trip to cardiff?

Oooo that's a good shout....Cardiff.  ;D
Closer.
Cheaper on the whole I'd imagine? ???
Money is going to be the only issue with any trip at the mo.
I could probably afford Cardiff. But not Trywern unfortunately.   :-\
