Gordon, im looking at 15th/16th may as a possible date. Do you want to suggest it to some of the 'southerners' (ross, graham, chas?). If some/all of them are free then we'll finalize at the pool session sat!

Fine by me, put dependant on a release, otherwise we may re-organise, cardiff/hpp(which may revolt the southerners), other if water.

1) Propose 16/17 May
2) Camping Tyn Cornel, (I'll book a bunkhouse if required, we'll need an organiser for this, I'll be caravaning(awning Nigel?)
3) Book campsite & cancel if there is no release (they would last year with no problems, I'll check)
4) Alternative venue either Dee, or Cardiff, dependant on water conditions.
5) Suitable grade 2/3 level trips each day (lower T) + upper for those wishing rescue/swimming practice.
6) Anything I've forgotten? please comment:-..............

I would be on for this on 15/16 May. Camping will be fine for me.

I might meet you all there as I will probably be heading down from Scotland at the end of a couple of weeks camping around Fort William.

I always go there at this time of year, and the weather is usually warm to hot in the second week of May. Perfect for camping as the midges have not woken up at that time of the year.

The trips just over a month away now, time to start finishing the organising!

Gordon have you contacted the campsite?

I've taken the day off work ... for those who have never been, one group (me) generally leave early Friday morning (6 - 7 am ish) and get there mid-dayish so we can get a few hours paddling in on the Fri afternoon. A second group leaves after a half day of work (Gordon?) and arrives with plenty of time to set up house and awning  Friday afternoon/evening.

I'm happy to drive so have space for two more paddlers/kayaks.
Can everybody who expressed interest please confirm if they wish to attend and at what time Friday so we can sort out transport and so Gordon has a rough number for the campsite booking!

If the Tryweryn is not releasing on the Friday then i will most likely leave later on in the day (unless we've had recent rain then may try and find a river up there with water in it (river Dee?)) and if the entire weekend is not releasing then we'll have to cancel our trip!
