It looks good. Well done.

I assume that it is £650 pw for the whole chalet and not per person.

If so, it is yes from me.

Hi all greetings from the Midland!

Tempted by the trip but moving house and want a new car plus need a new passport so cost is an issue. What do you expect the fuel/toll cost to be? Apart from food and wines is there anything else to consider? Is electric etc included in the rent?

I have a new mobile no. and don't really use my old phone any more number if anyone wants to call 07fivetwoeight93sevenseven9one.

I hope your all well.

Iain

OK Just after a little clarification

Hostel £650, Fuel 2 cars X £220 = £440, Toll £ 220

Total so far £1310, £240 each so far

The group dynamics work for 3 in each car Total cost divided by 6

Currently my shoulder is OK and should progressively get better, have we any reserve paddlers to keep the group size of 6, if so Yes, sorry to be pedantic but I feel we should consider all the options, as numbers decrease financial commitment escalates.

We don't have any reserve's,and I agree we could do with recruiting a 7th paddler.
Even if we all go the cars and chalet can take it.
I've provisionally booked the chalet,I just need to confirm and pay deposit on Friday.

Hi All,

We need a plan on who is organising what. Being in the Midlands I have missed out on what has been organised so far. Dave you arranged the accommodation so would you like to delegate jobs? Such as ferry, What we legally need in each car to avoid high fines such as
a hi vis jackets per person, light bulb kit etc. People have been fined £100 for not having hi vis jackets for each person. The police even have chip and pin machine now!!! Tolls how we pay them, plus the many things I have ignored.

If people can email Dave he can split the jobs up or if you prefer Dave I can do it I know your busy with your Daughter.

Its going to be great! Let me know if you go to the Tryweryn let me know!

SShhh - Dave seems to be organising quite well!

He seems to go to the Alps every other week so I assume that he knows what he is doing ;)

As for me, I last went abroad in 1991, so am not an expert. I am therefore keeping my head down.

And as for hi vis vests, will Lomo cags do?

;D ;D Thanks for the offer Iain but there not a great deal more to plan, ferry and a few car details,I'll have a chat with Gordon about driving/stuff we need, and search out a ferry deal in the next week or two, then nearer the time we'll all have a chat about the final bits and bobs, job done!  ;D ;D

How is the planning going?

Is everyone who is going to the Alps going to the Tryweryn on 14/15/16 May?

If so, can we have a chat there about what is left to organise?

Accomodation is paid for and booked.
Should we set up a kitty for fuel and tolls, or someone pay by credit card and split costs?
Pete has sent out details of personal insurance etc.
Are ferries booked? How do we pay?
Two cars going, but it is unfair to expect the owners to be the only ones able to drive. Should we set up insurance to drive cars?

There are bound to be more questions. I have some relating to getting Euros (you have got to remember it is nearly 20 years since I went abroad last and I have no idea!)

Decisions will be made that weekend im sure regardless if anyone cant make it so you dont need to panic. The ferry is booked, cost is £63 per car.
