THE ALPS TRIP!!!! (formally Scotland!)
« on: January 12, 2010, 11:03:13 PM »
After Pete's input tonight I bow to his greater knowledge,Alps it is,it seems we have 7 victims(sorry paddlers) interested,Honestly I feel it is the best option but will not be the cheapest,it is guaranteed unlike Scotland.
It seems early June is the best option.
1 .We need to go to the pub ASAP to do some basic planning
2 .We need more practice trips!! Dart Dart Dart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im interested - although will need to dust off the passport (I have not been abroad since 1991!)

Unless the pub meet is at the weekend, I will not be able to join you.

I can make weekends - how about after the pool session on the 30th Jan?

what about after the 20th Feb pool session to plan the Alps trip
we need to get a few things sorted and how many are interested
I've just txt our northern monkey (Iain)with the details
I've done some basic research, camping would be about £70 each, chateau £100-£150 the latter would be my preference( I will be 40 when this trip happens (just  :'()
We need people to post their interest   ASAP  to help with planning so far I think the following  are highly possibles.
Pete
Kev
Dave
Nigel
Gordon
Iain

If I missed anyone let me Know

Dave - ignor him, 40 isn 't that old! - you will soon be old enough to be "wise", and walk around things like Gordon and I!

First grade 5 and with snow melt, the rivers are massive! Good luck, - if you finish up in Exeter hospital, I will visit.
